It was A Day. Doing a lot of stuff that should be done by others, some of whom suck, some of whom are skating by, and some of whom were/are misinformed. My co-worker is doing a bang-up job trying to get things that should have been done already at least moving. And Wat tied into doing some tasks which he shouldn't have to, but it gets stuff moving.


Drywall patches are one of those tasks. Like rubbing the genie's lamp, the drywall contractor boss appeared this afternoon. Wat explained to him the lack of quality control on his company's part. We went for a walk and looked at stuff, and I think he got onboard with gettin' 'er dun. Of course, we'll believe it when it happens.


And it was welding class tonight. Instructor seems okay. He'll let us go as fast as we can, which means if I don't suck, I could get "certified" if I wanted to. I don't. We'll see how I pick it up.


Sliced chilled tomato like last night, and cantaloupe, like last night. TDK has claimed this box. Off to bed shortly . . . .

Well.isnt that convenient for him to show up.... did he ask where his worker was?
Hopefully he gets it together. We had some village projects and the co tractors where is breech of contract. Since our stuff is grant funded we have to get stuff done or we will lose it. We had to resort to get it done right and no pay til.job completed to our satisfaction. They pulled it together....

Nail biter but nice there was a HEA in the end
 
So I am back after my week away..brief update

About 900 mile trip and two eight hour drives
Daughter is well and now 32 weeks so not far off another grandchild..God willing
Caught up on a few old friends which was nice
A couple of good meals out
Got an afternoon fishing on my own
Came home to cold pissing rain and had to put the heating on (furnace)

Good to be chilling in the Bar with like minded friends!

I couldn't imagine a trip that long! Do you know if it's a grandson/daughter? Hoping all goes well with the born. Old friends probably did you some good :)
I need to go fishing. Haven't been in an embarrassing amount of weeks :cautious:

Just like the good old days, if mum and baby are healthy we will love what the good lord gives us!

If Wat were still worker bee-ing, then perhaps. Since Wat is a Cruel Managerial Taskmaster, it wouldn't work so well. But Wat has lots of old cars and farm stuff that needs help, Wat will be fine with those skills in his Every Day Life. Plus, the instructor said that when you can weld and people find out about it, you'll make lots of friends . . . i.e., people will need shit welded.
