I've read a lot of threads, and the vast majority are complaints, questions, and comments.
It's time to give credit where it is due.
As a writer for literotica for less than two years, initially, I had my share of rejections, usually for the right reasons (My English grammar sucked, I didn't realize some subjects were younger than 18, etc.).
However, my stories were published fast once I understood the guidelines better,
So far, I've sent 270 stories/chapters. Lately (At least the last 30), the time between posting them and seeing the orange sign with the publishing date was less than 1.5 days, and occasionally, only 15 minutes!!!
In conclusion, I think that MOST OF THE TIME, Laurel and her crew are doing a marvelous job and deserve credit.
Thank you very much, Laurel and Manu.

I just had a completely original series rejected by Laurel & Manu -- basically accused me of having AI write it. There's no way to reply to them...I guess I'm just screwed? Super frustrating.

You absolutely CAN reply. You can send a PM to Laurel. and You can resubmit with a "note to the Admin" where you can explain your situation. I just had a similar rejection, and that's exactly what I did. I simply added a note, explaining that I did NOT in fact use AI., and that all I did was use Grammarly to help catch spelling and grammar errors that I might have missed. and resubmitted with that note.

You have every right to complain about this, but read the above response.

But I somewhat resent you putting your complaint in this thread. I noticed you did complain in other threads as well. That was fine.

The T/C split that happened last night was an important change to many people. One that they have been asking for. Let them celebrate there be some positivity in just one thread. Do you need to piss on every parade?

I would like this thread to return to feeling good about the change that just happened. And maybe hoping that some other important changes may also happen.

As I said in a reply to one of my commenters, I always love a happy ending. It is why I am starting to drift towards Romance as a category.

Right there with you! That's why I was so quick to respond, letting them know they could in fact respond.

Laurel and Manu do an amazing job. And it's a lot of work... It may be frustrating when things don't go out way, but when it comes right down to it... They are amazing people to keep this place going as well as they do.

I do my have my share of complaints...
However, my experiences here in Lit, have been mostly good ones.
The site gives me a chance to express my creative urges through writing.
So, yes, I add my thanks to the many shared....
Sometimes, we are to quick to complain...

Thanks for starting the thread...

Completely agree. I've had amazing experiences with this site. Is it perfect? Of course not, but it's still great.

I must make a comment on this topic. In my 99 submissions, some have been posted in 2 days, and one took 49 days. I guess on that one I must have pissed Laurel or Manu off. I also know that I've got on the bad side of three very influential authors who have Laurel's ear. Now, I can't even get a comment in less that 3 or 4 days. Plus, I can't even get a response in the messaging area. Total silence.

In the spirit the O/P intended, I'd like to add my thanks for Laurel's and Manu's hard work to make this site available to amateur writers like me to share our words with the world. Having been in the I/T business for most of my life, I know how difficult it is to build and maintain a site like this. Kudos to Laurel and Manu!
