Disrespect for the Dead in Arlington National Cemetery

I am of the belief that even if this fraud of a man wins this election, in the end, his legacy will be as such that he will NEVER be interred at any place of honor. There will never ever be a presidential library for him - NEVER. It’s been said, and I believe, that in less than a generation after his death the trump name will be akin to Hitler’s in Germany. His children’s children will be forced to change their names. Information will come out showing the national embarrassment and damage his leadership caused. From comments made here today, the American taxpayer doesn’t have the funds necessary to protect his grave at a place such as Arlington from constant desecration. Unfortunately, the likes of weak and feckless men like RG and HisArpy are too insignificant to be mentioned in history books as enablers and that’s why I have no issue with members dishing on and demeaning whenever possible.
TDS becomes you. You're irrelevant and ignorant.

^^ I'd like to think some of the more literate here are responsible for helping some of the less inclined to post with a touch of coherency!

edit: that was supposed to post under ican'thelpmyself's post

I stand by everything I said and called you. You will never get a Ty for your service from me. You are a domestic enemy. The best thing I can say to you is that even as a handicapped traitor, I would not want trump to publicly humiliate you in front of a tv camera. Me insulting you here is joyful but trump’s media platform is such that him demeaning your service ( which he most certainly would do) would harm military members more honorable than you and far more deserving of getting reverence for their service.

You talk too much you old useless busybody.

The Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) has criticized former President Donald Trump for "politicking" on "sacred ground" during a visit to Arlington National Cemetery.

IAVA chief executive Allison Jaslow told Newsweek that Arlington should be free from politics. "When I visit Section 60, it is to honor the fallen and remind myself that I was one of the lucky ones who made it home," she said. "There are plenty of places appropriate for politics—Arlington is not one of them."
"Any aspiring elected official, especially one who hopes to be Commander-in-Chief, should not be confused about that fact. Nor should they hide behind members of our community to justify politicking on such sacred ground."

Well spoken.

How many of those section 60 parents spoke out and how many people are buried in that section? Did all 1500 in that section express an opinion? Why don't you post the evidence?
I found one almost immediately.

https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2024/08/29/politics/us-army-rebukes-trump-campaign-arlington-incident

However, it wasn’t just the graves of those killed at Abbey Gate that were featured in photo and video from Trump’s visit. In at least one photo posted online, the grave of an Army Special Forces soldier who died by suicide is also featured; his family has since said they did not give the campaign permission to do so. The grave of Master Sgt. Andrew Marckesano, a Silver Star recipient, sits next to that of Marine Staff Sgt. Darin Taylor Hoover.

A statement from Marckesano’s sister on behalf of their family said that while they supported families of the 13 fallen “in their quest for answers and accountability regarding the Afghanistan withdrawal and the tragedy at Abbey Gate,” the Trump campaign “did not adhere to the rules” of Section 60.

“[A]ccording to our conversation with Arlington National Cemetery, the Trump Campaign staffers did not adhere to the rules that were set in place for this visit to SSGT Hoover’s grave site in Section 60, which lays directly next to my brother’s grave,” the statement from Michele Marckesano said. “We hope that those visiting this sacred site understand that these were real people who sacrificed for our freedom and that they are honored and respected accordingly.”

Army policy and national monument policy is not dictated by the families of those buried there, no matter how often you and the Weakspine push that egregious falsehood.

The only "choice" they have input on (as far as I know) is what, if any, religious symbol (cross, crescent, Star of David, etc) is placed on the actual tombstone. Under Dubya, the Hammer of Thor and the Pentagram were added as "acceptable" religious symbols. Actually did see a pentagram the last time I toured Arlington, though I doubt the soldier had any direct relation to your bloodline, given your family history of "bone spurs".
This is Senator Cotton who actually served in the Third Army "Old Guard" at Arlington National Cemetery making you look like the dumb fuck you are on the subject. He explains why your info is full of shit and why there was a confrontation there with the official as well. Watch the interview and extend your humble apology to all you've attacked on this subject with your false information and huffing arrogance.

Cotton is such a Trump sycophant, he would defend Trump feeding kittens into a wood chipper. He's a disgusting slug. Somebody pour some salt on him.

The US Army says trump fucked up again. Why do you hate our military?

I don't get it. Obviously Trump was present at the wreath ceremony. There were cameras there to record the event as he participated in it. As we all know, currently he's not a public official and is running for political office.

How does this comport with the purported restriction against photography/filming and/or political purposes when it was obviously allowed during the ceremony?

I think someone with too much self importance got too far out over their skis and this "incident" is now being used for political purposes against Trump.

Which violates Federal law.
Nice deflection effort. A failure though. The wreath ceremony is not in section 60 where the photography was done. That was a prohibited area. There was a physical altercation by legal definition. Team Trump pushed someone. That's physical assault, something you defend against, right?

You are borderline stupid but not dumb enough to support this as an inconsequential 'incident.'

You stand for those wronged you have said. Trump's minions violated the solemnity of the cemetery regulations, and you are siding with them knowing that was a violation? Why pretend to be a defender of the law when you just whitewashed this one? Hypocrite.

So, as I surmised earlier, they had PERMISSION;

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/saraharnold/2024/08/28/trump-npr-arlington-cemetary-n2644032

And some worker KAREN decided to try and stop them instead of checking with their boss.

But you FUCKWITS just had to vilify Trump. Because TDS runs rampant in your heads. You idjits are a waste off food, oxygen, and space.
“There was no physical altercation as described, and we are prepared to release footage if such defamatory claims are made,” Cheung said. “The fact is that a private photographer was permitted on the premises, and for whatever reason, an unnamed individual, clearly suffering from a mental health episode, decided to physically block members of President Trump’s team during a very solemn ceremony.”

Cheung, Trump's press secretary, says an Arlington Cemetery employee suffered a mental health episode. Really? That gives them the right to shove the individual out of the way and stand on top of graves to film Trump for political fodder?

The Gold Star members invited Trump. They didn't give him permission to film political footage for his campaign, nor could they have. Federal law forbids that, which Cheung and his staff violated. Another article pointed out they were informed of the non-recording during the ceremony but ignored it and pushed the person trying to enforce the solemnity of the event out of the way and proceeded to record anyway.

Trump never sought nor was permitted to film. Period. The US Army filed a formal protest over this violation. A rare event when the Army speaks up about a felon trodding over hallowed grounds and graves.

For clarification, Arphy, your surmising they had permission to film was erroneous. Some Gold Star members were glad he was there, but they didn't and couldn't allow filming. So you suck again at something outside your 'field of expertise.'

STFU with your fucking bullshit! You suffer from delusional TDS on steroids.

The photos and videos could have been taken at the request of the families for their consumption and memories.
So, it's okay to have violated Federal law against such filming? Please note that the filming was not for the families. It was for Trump's political campaign, a direct breaking of the law. Where does it stand when a convicted felon violates another law? Is he subject to prosecution?

Almost means nearly.

As in; the bullet nearly penetrated Trump's skull.

But, nice attempt at denialism.
It nearly penetrated his ear, but didn't.

Trump is lucky to be alive. He said it had something to do with God, but quickly forgot about that. Went out and played golf the next day. So there is that rapid healing thing going on. Miraculous Donny.

I notice that there's no film or images of the incident. Nor are there any names of those in the Army making the statement that the employee was "abruptly pushed."

So, more "anonymous" reporting which pushes the political narrative about Trump being "disrespectful" even the images shown are 100% the opposite.

According to the Trump people, they have video evidence of the incident. If they post it, and it proves them correct that they never did as is claimed, will you apologize?
Duh? Filming was prohibited. Trump's crew filmed the event. Do you think they would film themselves pushing a person having a mental meltdown? [Yeah, I could, but they won't release it. Trump's team lies again.]

Just like Trump has the helicopter 'crash' records he claimed to support his erroneous story in an event decades ago. Lie. It is what Trump does.

The felon had permission to do what he liked, we know this because he said so.
The official had a 'mental health episode', we know this because the felon's mouthpiece said so. Only the insane would defy the felon.

But of course there was a film crew, make-up, shoe-lickers. What's the point of him going anywhere if he can't make a campaign ad out of it (that's literally what he did). A campaign ad filmed in Arlington, showing graves of people who were never asked their permission to star in his self-promotion.
