That's good enough! It's... not great. The exposition is rampant. The graphics are absolutely gorgeous but the writing is pure schlock.

Haven't gotten around to them yet. Figured I'd wait until the entire trilogy is out (in like 2035 I guess). Also my backlog is..... long. So they can wait. Did you play them?

Same, I want to be sure SE finishes it before I invest. But I played OG 7 more times than I can count

My fav is 8, 7 is a close contender but I haven't played it to death. I remember escaping the power plant, that scene, meeting Valentine and the final part with Sephiroth but the rest is kind of a blur. Not going to replay it until I get my hands on the remake

I would reverse your list for myself, I prefer 7 but 8 is up there. The GF system and triple triad are two of my favorite FF game mechanics.

I played remake and rebirth (not intergrade) but they are stunning. Visually. Story. Depth of gameplay. My favorite RPGs are turn-based and this mixes in live input a bit too much, but it's so gorgeous

If you haven't, pick up Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth best turn based rpg's in decades! (though you might have to play the eight previous games in the series to keep up... and they're not turn based )
