I would say this goes beyond just me and my presentation of that particular bit of artwork. I feel that anytime we share ourselves, through pics, original art, singing, etc, that this should be a supportive environment, lest people feel they can’t share their selves or creativity with the larger group. Nefarious and cheap laughs was certainly the goal in demeaning my work.

One of the original quoted mean girls had encouraged the original sharing of the work to only then participate in the mockery.

I would say past scar tissue, given the nature of the thread’s mean girls in their joy of piling on, made backing down harder, especially with @crazychemgirl kicking it off with rudeness towards my art. Additionally, knowing the limits of the medium I was working under created a more 2D experience in output as well.
