Honestly I think it depends on what forum your in and who your doing it with....

What V said. But also, I think things mostly get deleted when they are reported. Some boards have more proactive reporters than others.

I have lives that story, thankfully as an amateur but skilled enough IT capable son of a friend unrelated to the grandmother in question.
Also helped a 70year ish lady with a computer that belonged to her recently deceased son. We found just… a lot of porn, some of it made with him and his girl… she took it way better than I would have assumed.

Was uncomfortable as hell for me both times.
