The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Usually when that happens it means there's an interesting Laundry Day Fashion Choice given that most everything else is in the process of being laundered.
Wonder what that photo would look like? :devilish: 🤔:ROFLMAO:

(ETA: Any Laundry Day photo of me would resemble one of those Hollywood Mug Shot Photos that drift around the web.
("No photos, no comment!" :ROFLMAO: ))

I had washed small spot loads but not the whole shebang. It needed doing, and so did the linens. I have 3 cats in the testing the bedspread in its clean condition.

Yep.... i love most of her stuff and like when she tells what she uses... and sells some of it

A boss I had a couple of jobs ago has a wife who goes to junk sales and stores and buys stuff and adds foofoo and turns around and sells it. According to him, she does quite well for herself. So there's a sideline business to be had for those who are of a mind.

Mine are covered in cat hair. They don't claw the couches, they claw my furniture, but don't scratch it up. It's weird...they are weird cats. I ended up with a lot of antique pieces from my grandparents when they passed. I need to down size but it's so hard to get rid of those pieces. Most including the piano have the ivory?? wheels on the bottom. My thought is to strip them and color them besides the old brown. I like a lot of color. It brightens my mood. Boho colors would be nice. So rustic and colorful

Do it..... and repurchase. Old pianos make great bars or desks when the guts are removed. Use as much color as you want. People will say don't refinish but I would rather refinish and love then have it go in the landfill
So, I can see both sides of this coin. My parents purchased an old piano from a church my G-Grandfather was a member of. My grandfather would light the stove in winter to warm the church and about three sets of aunts learned to play and played this piano in this church. How my dad was able to buy this piano is a funny story in and of itself.

So they get it home and refinish it in linseed oil. It is beautiful! The problem? Nobody knew how to play it! 😂. Until my youngest, took lessons and now bangs away.

The other side of the coin is piano’s are big. Not many people play and so when handed down, they just take up room. I have a friend who ripped the guts out of hers, hung the harp portion behind the frame, took away the ivory, and made a bookshelf out of it. Less space and it came out immaculate!

I redid this dresser...the handles are a vintage gold color

My daughter plays piano, violin, and this year she's taking on trombone. She's not an expert by any means, but she sit's and plays things that amazes me. Her teachers always say she has an ear for music.

Her grandfather plays classical guitar in Paris (vagabond style) and is really good, her uncle was voted best drummer in Utah and earned a full scholarship, her aunt, grandpa, and great grandma played(s) piano, My great grandma played organ and piano in a jazz band, and her other great aunt played flute (she is in the orchestra music for Nightmare on Elm Street, the original one). I made sure she is surrounded by instruments even though they take up space. :)

Because you know she will thrive with your support, and you're a caring, loving mom..😘🤗🌹
