I plan for the worst and pleasantly surprised when things are better than planned.
And you as well.Happy Sunday, You!!!
Habitat for humanity, veterans groups, salvation army. Sometimes they even come pick them up.Good Morning! Have my first cup of coffee and the rest of the pot to go.
I have to move furniture and find a place to hold it until I can find someone to give it to. I'm getting new/used set Thursday that is nicer than my old used set. It's terrible that I have never had to buy furniture for my living room because my parents buy a new set a few years. I'm lucky they have good taste![]()

Morning all and hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. Did a bit of traveling yesterday for work, ended up on Long Island. Only saw one bad accident, but thankfully not as hot as it is down south.
Sticking to the theme for Morning Z:

I will if my two friends from church don't take them. One of my friends has a couch that I truly believe they picked up on the side of the road. They have springs that poke out at you. I asked them first. And the other couple have an older one and the dad sleeps on it but it's too short for him so his legs hang over the edge. Those are my first two choices. I'm waiting on their answer first. 2nd, I will call one of those places. They are dark brick red colored lol. I love them but could use some firmer ones for sure.Habitat for humanity, veterans groups, salvation army. Sometimes they even come pick them up.
Sounds like a good plan hun. I'm glad you're checking with your friends it shows that you want someone you know benefitting from them. Mine are covered in cat hair. They don't claw the couches, they claw my furniture, but don't scratch it up. It's weird...they are weird cats. I ended up with a lot of antique pieces from my grandparents when they passed. I need to down size but it's so hard to get rid of those pieces. Most including the piano have the ivory?? wheels on the bottom. My thought is to strip them and color them besides the old brown. I like a lot of color. It brightens my mood. Boho colors would be nice. So rustic and colorfulI have an alley out back where I have stored a few pieces over the course of my time here. The Alley Rats always see to it that it's gone withing 24 hours, sometimes sooner. If it's still decent, I donate to the church on the other side of the alley.
I have repurposed my use of rooms in the last few years as part of downsizing and have less stuff and more options. Hope you don't mind a folding chair when you come to visit. The cats don't care, and they don't sharpen their claws on it.

Too much high gloss on some. Sanding gums it.I had stuff from both of my grandmothers because I thought it meant something. When I was ready to minimize, I asked the family who wanted what, and I batted a 0.000. I realized at that point that I was warehousing a bunch of cast-off crap for sentimental reasons and made a decision to stop.
I'm not sure you have to strip stuff as long as you remember that successful finishes are 90% preparation and 10% application. Sand and fill and prime, and then color to your heart's content.
Off for a walk. The humidity is down this morning.
Good Morning Cole...Hello and Good Morning to everyone![]()
Been thru cup #2 which is my limit and my Mrs and I are getting ready to go to church. It's 58° F and sunny here in western Ohio.Still on my first cup of coffee before my day starts. Having a good morning so far?
Try a heat gun sparingly, or furniture stripper. Orange color at home depot. Brush on, let set and wipe off. I wipe it with damp rag afterwards.Too much high gloss on some. Sanding gums it.
That's what I was thinking. I just have to figure out a color I want to use after. Maybe this will be my project after I clean out all of POS's crap that he left behindTry a heat gun sparingly, or furniture stripper. Orange color at home depot. Brush on, let set and wipe off.
