There's only one Welsh phrase you need to be able to recognise. 'Twll dyn pob sais'. Basically, 'Arseholes to the English', or 'All the English are arseholes'.

The last word may vary (Sais rhymes with nice, means English as per the Scots 'Sassenach') but it's very commonly used as an insult to an impolite stranger.

You don’t understand the history of the slave trade. West Africans were brought to the Americas in large numbers by European slavers to work on plantations. The slave trade started with Caribbean sugar plantations, but eventually spread to the American south with tobacco and the cotton plantations. The trade flourished between the 16th and 19th centuries—about 300 years. Caribbean blacks are descendants of African slaves just like blacks from the southern states are.

Kamala Harris is African-American.
 
Some postulate that all of mankind's linage evolved from seven women in Africa.
