Israel's sole advantage over Turkey would appear to be a dominating Air Force, and Turkey has no fighter jets to prevent bombings.

The source claims they have 164 fighters in readiness out of a total of 205.

I misread fighter aircraft with dedicated attack aircraft.
You were right, I was mistaken.

I find it odd that Turkey has no air-to-ground attack aircraft (I'm assuming something similar to the A-10 Warthog)

Turkey is one of five "trusted nations" that the United States "shares" medium range ballistic nuclear missiles. I don't know what "shares" means in this instance...are the missiles crewed by American forces or Turkish forces?

JFK dispatched nuclear missiles to Turkey in the immediate aftermath of the Cuban Missile Crisis, so Turkey has had nuclear weapons since 1963.

I distinctly recall the SALT talks, and thought Turkey gave up the American nukes then. What I think happened is that the USA agreed NOT to put mobile missile launchers in Germany and/or Turkey. The launchers that can fire the then-brand spanking new nuclear-enabled cruise missiles.

The mobile launchers had limited kiloton nukes, enough to ruin a city completely, but the primary benefit was that Ivan (back then, anyway) couldn't track these launchers in real-time and couldn't pre-emptively strike to knock them out.

Anyway, so we now know both Israel and Turkey have nuclear weapons. This is a MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) scenario not unlike the Cold War, so any warfare would likely be conventional.

They are a major part of the NATO alliance. They do have 111 attack helicopters. They have 234 F-16 C/Ds some with Block 30, 40, and 50, upgrades. They have 19 F-4 E Phantom fighter/bombers, as well. They have some ballistic missile systems and advanced drone systems that have been field-tested in Ukraine.

Those B-61s were originally unguided air-launched nuclear gravity bombs. The present B-61-12 nuclear bomb is using a radar-aided system designed to guide the weapon in GPS-degraded environments. I'm not sure if those models are in Turkey or not. Another thing, the F-16 is configured to carry the B-61. I'm not sure if that configuration has been extended to the Turkish Air Force F-16s or not. The B-61s that are or were in Turkey are under heavy American guard.

Today, tears are flowing across the Middle East and amongst all decent people in the West. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has Confirmed the Assassination earlier tonight of Hamas Chief Political Leader, Ismail Haniyeh, who was Murdered alongside one of his Bodyguards at his Residence in Tehran, Haniyeh, a key interlocutor in the Gaza ceasefire and hostage negotiations, was in parliament in Tehran on Tuesday for the formal swearing-in of President Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran. Haniyeh has been part of Hamas for decades, in recent years running the militant group’s political operations from exile, and emerging as one of its most visible leaders during the war with Israel in Gaza. He was a key interlocutor with international mediators in hostage and ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas.

Experts say the assassinations cast an ominous shadow on hopes of a ceasefire and hostage deal and stifle any progress toward de-escalation between Israel and its Iran-backed enemies. Negotiations were already deadlocked before Haniyeh’s assassination, and this new development only puts the lives of hostages still held captive in danger. His assassination, in all probability at the blood-stained hands of murderous Israeli thugs, reduces the chances of a just and lasting peace in the Middle East. We can only hope that the wisdom and experience that Joe Biden brings to the foreign policy arena can reduce tensions and avert a disastrous outcome leading to even more deaths across the Middle East.

It's been reported that Mossad used Iranian agents to plant the bomb which was then remotely triggered when that target was in the residence. It could have been triggered by a simple phone call or other electronic signal.
