There are idiots in the world who ignore the fact that the positions of the parties swapped under Nixon. Anything that happened prior to the 70's that the Democrats supported would now be supported by Republicans.

By the way, we’re going to need to you to state the “positions of the parties” before and after ‘70. Just so we know exactly what you’re talking about.
