I'm a huge fan of the Yakuza/Like a Dragon games, and the most recent one included huge mini-games. They basically re-created both Pokemon (you collect people and have them fight other people. Characters like "Hungry Hungry Homeless" and a giant Roomba) and Animal Crossing in the game (you run and build a hawaii'an resort island and fend off a gang of hooligans trying to turn your paradise into their own private trash-heap. They just keep dumping trash and then running off LOL)
