For me it will be Sprout Quest 2024.

Because of me, we in S&S had gotten very serious, and I felt bad, and needed something epicly silly to shake things up.

@vagrantx had made an offhand comment to me about not getting boobs unless I finished my Brussels sprouts, and I asked her if that was a bet. She bet a picture of her boob (singular, and yes, that was a point of contention) if I ate Brussels sprouts. And that was what I was looking for -- prime, epic silliness.

I immediately went and bought Brussels sprouts.

I prepared them with the recipe.

I showed them.

And I ate them.

But I also told her that since I didn't hate them, she didn't owe me anything, and not to send me a picture of her boob.

And here is something I only told one other person: I never planned to win. I was going to throw it or tell her not to, no matter what. Because I didn't want her to feel icky because of me, and that was too transactional. I give; I don't barter.

So I won, but told her she didn't owe me anything. Because she is a person who keeps her word, she sent it anyway, on a timer. Because I am a person who keeps my word, I didn't click on it, and we both won.

I am kind of proud of that moment.

And I’m reminded of a moment I’ve had on here with yall … each and every one of you has imprinted on me a piece of yourself you’ve shared here.. and so you are all always with me. I’m so very grateful for all the connections and love and laughter I’ve experienced on this site because of all of you.
