Sex & Shenanigans

I think it’s really beautiful how many people have mentioned the first day they met Nebs or how early she found them. She had the most welcoming energy that I’ve encountered on Lit. The type that makes everyone feel connected immediately. I remember seeing her posting- it had been a while since she had been on and everyone was popping up to say NEBS and welcome her back. I didn’t know her yet and I was still pretty new to the forums myself. I was a bit intimidated but I jumped in the conversation and was shocked that she responded to me, right away, with the same enthusiasm as she did to everyone else who clearly knew her well. It was like she threw her arm around me and pulled me right into the circle. Nebs never knew a stranger.

A true light with the kindest heart. We are all better for having known her. 💛

Let's post your favorite Neb things/ stories

One of mine is this gif

It’s hard to pick one favorite Nebs story, but between here and the other thread dedicated to her, it seems one of the main recurring themes is that for many of us, she was among the first who made us feel welcome and included here. I think it’s safe to say many of us wouldn’t have had as much fun, posted so much, stuck around so long, or grown so close if she hadn’t been here.

Nebs and I bonded over our dogs and my awkward insistence that I wasn’t PM’ing to see her vag because I was already devoted. We didn’t talk often but when we did it was like an explosion of joy. She was one of very few people who could not only keep up with me when I’m like that but push the ball fast enough I had to run to keep up. She loved me so hard in so short a time. Which, I think, was a specialty of hers. We’re all better for knowing her.

She did, finally, insist on showing me her vag on June 1. And I’ll always be glad she did.

I was new on here and she just rolled in like a tidal wave of joy and energy. I was intimidated of all of you still, but she just swept me up and wouldn't let go. And when I was at an incredibly low point she reached out to me with a hug, and wise words, and the only vag pick I have ever received, heh. That was her, completely. And I laughed for a very long time. I love her for all of that -- for taking me in, for being my sexy, loving friend, and knowing how to make me laugh when I needed it most.

I have one short and sweet story. I didn't know her as well as all of you, but she had posted a pic of her yellow bra and I sad reacted when the link didn't work. She immediately sent the picture to me and I offered her a picture in return. Very complimentary, sweet and thoughtful. Always made me smile or laugh when I saw her post. She will be missed.

💞💖💛💖💛💖💞

She reminded me of the best parts of myself. Free-spirited, flirty, wanted to spread joy. I'd give anything just to talk to her one more time and tell her what she means to me.
I think this is what I struggle with the most. That she's just not longer here to tell her how much her kindness and friendship meant to me. I wish everyone got one last chance to tell those they love just how much they love them... ❤️

one of the worst thing about death is the brute factness of it. The way it locks everything, good or bad, in stone.

It’s a thing that’s hard to process and accept.

But I also believe, especially in this realm of words, as long as someone is spoken of -- remembered --they are never completely gone. I come from Irish and native American stock, and their beliefs mesh perfectly -- loving stories, whether it is called a potlatch or a wake.

May Nebs never be truly gone from us.

This may not work for everyone. Nebs was a serious Red Sox fan. She wore her gear to Yankee stadium for a game. A couple women pushed her physically because of that. She turned around and decked one of them. That put her in my pantheon of Red Sox fans. To be clear she was quite proud of the incident ( to be clear this was a number of years before she got on Lit).

All that sai, was there a kinder person on Lit?
