Sex & Shenanigans

IKR?! The tour can’t come soon enough! Updated post above with a short video
So - I took my one kid who's super into D&D last year, when it wasn't affiliated with Wizard of the Coast yet. So they had a bunch of jokes about how they couldn't use "official" terminology because it's all copyrighted. And we had a lot of fun. A few weeks ago I took the whole family and now the show IS affiliated with Wizards of the Coast, so now they have a bunch of jokes about how much bigger their budget is. The props and stagecraft are really amped up from last year, but the premise is the same. If you do get the chance to go I highly recommend it. I'd say it's probably appropriate for a PG-13, maybe PG crowd - some of the themes and language can be a little bit on the adult side (nothing too risque, of course). But leave the little little ones at home. Also, they have a tradition that whenever a Nat20 is rolled, whoever rolled it does a shot, so that's something I'd like to incorporate if I'm ever at an all-adult table.

Part of me, a big part, wants to roll into a fetal position and cry the day away. But Nebs would hate that. So ... Fuck. I am going to miss her so fucking much. I will stay upright. But I don't wanna, Nebs. I don't wanna.
Thank you for this, she would be angry at my moping about. I can't stay upright but I can hold my head up.
I just feel so sad, so so sad.

We were just calling about Stephen King books like a month ago … I was looking forward to discussing his newest book… I just can’t … I can’t believe she’s gone.

I don't want to steal your thunder, but I've already been. Twice. :) It's a ton of fun.
No worries about the thunder, but kinda jelly you got to see it! Glad you enjoyed though 🎭

I’ve totally done that with 0% guilt and will again! The expectation for immediate replies these days can be a bit much.

That sounds like a blast! Nephew will be 16 by the time they’re touring, so content shouldn’t be too much of an issue.

My favorite memory of Nebs was of the day we met. She was just so bright and sweet and funny. I immediately knew I needed to be her friend. It was right before my birthday and she promised me birthday cocks in my box... and she delivered.

She was the one who started calling me panda. I was always so happy to see her and laugh with her. ❤️

She was one of the kindest most lovely people. You could tell just from the way she lifted everyone around her.

There’s no one particular story for me. She was the one who “took me in” when I first found Chaos. She was always there, always honest, always making me laugh.
If I needed to talk, have a good time, she was there.
If I needed a friend, she was there.
If I needed to know there was someone real, she was there.
She proved it. She was always, always her authentic self. She was bright, she was funny.
And oh Jesus was she kind. She loved her people, hard, with everything she had.
I can’t give higher praise than that.
I love you, Nebbles.
I’ll miss you like hell. ❤️❤️❤️💔

I think it’s really beautiful how many people have mentioned the first day they met Nebs or how early she found them. She had the most welcoming energy that I’ve encountered on Lit. The type that makes everyone feel connected immediately. I remember seeing her posting- it had been a while since she had been on and everyone was popping up to say NEBS and welcome her back. I didn’t know her yet and I was still pretty new to the forums myself. I was a bit intimidated but I jumped in the conversation and was shocked that she responded to me, right away, with the same enthusiasm as she did to everyone else who clearly knew her well. It was like she threw her arm around me and pulled me right into the circle. Nebs never knew a stranger.

A true light with the kindest heart. We are all better for having known her. 💛
