Really have to have some knowledge for some of these things. When it's this bad, I stop telling the IT people I don't know anything and help them out if I can. Otherwise, that's what they get paid for, not me.

I'm like you. I know "nothing" most of the time. Today was a day for the old guard who understood the gravity of what they were being asked to do.

Got out of the industry years ago, and days like that remind me of why. Well, that and hating office politics, even in IT, and souless corporations...

When I read that memo this morning about the fix I rolled my eyes and got to work.
