It that obvious? Was it only the local police that people were alerting when they saw Crooks on the roof prior to the shots being fired? I agree it was a security complete failure.

I don't know, but witnesses said they were signaling the SS agents and police and that the SS counter sniper team had eyes on the shooter before he broke the shots on Trump. I suspect we will see investigations and findings unfolding before us in the coming days, weeks, and months. The media needs to be examined and how they may have perpetrated this event with demonstrably false and coordinated anti-Trump propaganda. We need to see if there was an organized plan to inflame the public. Even today we see leftists posting that Trump staged the shooting to bolster his campaign. The libel against Trump has been on blast for years, even here on Lit. But all they have done is elevate his popularity in the process.

It's obvious the SS wasn't conscience of anything until shots were fired. They stood Trump up after a radio call of "shooter Down." This is either a case of total incompetence on the part of the SS or it was an inside job. There is no excuse for ceding an elevated shooting position anywhere within rifle range of the former President. The SS should have been on that roof.

A former SS agent said that SS typically stays “inside the ring” close to whom they are protecting. They identify outer ring threat locations and coordinate with local authorities to make sure they get them covered. Clearly there was a breakdown and I imagine we’ll find out soon enough what happened. May be a lot of finger pointing though.
