LOL. No. No relatives in Ukraine. One of the reasons I dislike anything remotely tainted with communism. My great-grandad was the only survivor, between the Russians and the Nazis. What went on there thru thru the war years was awful. He survived the gulag and ended up in the Anders Army and eventually the US, as a post-war refugee. My mom's dad was an officer in the ARVN Rangers and survived 10 years of that, then took a boat out with most of his men and their families when Saigon went down. Scary old dude. I'd be terrified of him if he wasn't my granddad. LOL. So if you ever wonder why I dislike communists and lefties intensely, put it down to family experience of the joys of communist rule on both sides.

BUT I am proud to say I have donated quite a lot to Azov since the war started, and done a bit of fund-raising as well, mostly for things like medical kits and winter equipment over that first winter and summer. Now, it's mostly towards drones and night vision equipment. Never enough of either. If you'd like to contribute, I can PM you links or I take paypal and pool it and donate. Everything I make from my stuff on Amazon goes to Ukraine, so you can always buy one of my books there. The author income from those gets donated as it filters thru to me. I DO put my money where my mouth is.

Bozo the Clown ‘declared’ his candidacy in many elections. Did he receive an SS protection detail? I doubt it. Again, what is the precedent?

Trump is a former president, so the SS already needs to be protecting him, but to what extent? What are the protocols for allocating public funds and resources?

If Trump flies his private jet to Scotland, does the Air Force provide escort fighter jets? What if some foreign entity has threatened to shoot him out of the sky? Do the protocols change?

Trump has not declared his VP yet. Has an SS detail already been sent to protect this unnamed person? Has Trump actually been officially named as the Republican nominee, or will that only be official after the convention? Will there be a different elevated protection protocol after it becomes official?

Got real answers or just speculation?

LOL. You haven't met my husband. Besides, almost all of our friends are. LOL. Besides, where I grew up, I was the only Asian-looking girl. Used to dealing with it.

Calling someone Hitler isn't exactly praising them. Nor is it a call to deescalate tension.

But if you want to believe that doing it doesn't mean you're not spreading hatred then no one is going to be able to change your deluded mind. Because mental illness is a real thing even if you refuse to admit it to yourself.

This is what the Internet provides on who the Secret Service is charged to protect. It says "may protect," but I think it's what the SS is actually doing. That's a whole lot of folks and there are times protecting one person means splitting coverage, as exampled by needing to cover Trump at Saturday's rally, but needing at the same time to cover him at the quickly coming Republican National Convention.

The Secret Service is authorized by law to protect:
  • The president, vice president (or the next individual in the order of succession, should the vice presidency be vacant), president-elect and vice president-elect
  • The immediate families of the above individuals
  • Former presidents and their spouses for their lifetimes, except if the spouse remarries
  • Children of former presidents under the age of 16
  • Visiting heads of state or government, and other distinguished foreign visitors
