My kids keep my humble. Like when they tell me I have a McDonald's haircut. Or when they tell me I look like someone who'd eat yellow snow. It's hard to have an ego with teenagers around.

Just got confirmation that my son's legal name change was approved by the courts. Yay! It means that once the paperwork comes in, we can re-register him under his new name with the school this fall, so his old name shouldn't be on any of the rosters or anything. And as a bonus, my wife's law firm which handled the filing decided not to charge her at all for the work (firm policy is that employees pay 1/2 rates for legal services). So we only have to pay the state filing fees. This is a good day.
