It means that once the paperwork comes in, we can re-register him under his new name with the school this fall, so his old name shouldn't be on any of the rosters or anything. And as a bonus, my wife's law firm which handled the filing decided not to charge her at all for the work (firm policy is that employees pay 1/2 rates for legal services). So we only have to pay the state filing fees. This is a good day.
