That poor baby had a shitshow of a life. Brain never fully developed. Eyes did not develop (blind from birth). Legs never fully developed. Lungs never fully developed (required breathing assistance the entirety of life).

And it cost the state millions of dollars in medical care to support this Science Fair Exhibit From Hell.

Their policy is VERY clear on this: 'The only "moral abortion" is MY abortion'. That's why clinic protestors march in front of clinics for weeks on end, then sneak their 15 year old in for an abortion, and go back to the picket line the next day.

Interesting.....Christian Nationalists (still conducting business as "Evangelical Christians" for the moment) are supremely pissed off at convicted felon Donald J. Trump's insistence that each state be responsible for their own abortion law. They are furious that this has been codified into a "platform plank" in the Republican "platform" for 2024.

They dare not anger Daddy Trump in any way shape or form, so they are taking out their collective anger on.....Little Marco Rubio?

Little Marco has been one of the few constants in the pro-birth push, he's opposed any abortion for any reason at any time. He pushed the "suffer bitch!" punishments when nobody else would. He was the darling of the pro-birth right.

So the whackadoodles howled in collective agony when Little Marco (who wants to be VP more than ANYTHING) quietly suggested this week that maybe Daddy Trump had a good point and individual states should ban or not ban abortion.

I've seen it happen. Probably everyone who's done clinic defense has seen it happen.

The abortion debate should be simple but it's not. Religion, politics, personal opinions, all get in the way of rational thought. If you have no personal stake in the abortion, mother or biological father, mind your own damn business. In the end it does not affect you. You can believe or not believe in abortion but you have no right to restrict someone else's legally approved choices.

Let's be realistic and honest here. The MAGAs are going to use the Comstock Act to backdoor not only a national abortion ban, but also a national contraceptive ban if they can manage it. That's the reality of it, not some proposed delegation to the "states." Even under Roe, they pushed a "partial-birth abortion" ban and other such laws, federally as well as at the state level. Let's not kid ourselves on this.
