Sex & Shenanigans

Okay, I admit... I have spent a little time in Tucson and thought it was hotter there than Las Vegas. And Phoenix?? That place has the most vile traffic I have seen in years. OMG!!! Those people are completely insane to stay there.

Just sayin'...

Crazy!
Hahaha yea traffic there does suck! I couldn't disagree more on the temp thing though! At least Tucson cools off more at night than Phoenix!🤪

Bacon, eggs, biscuit and gravy, fruit and OJ. If it's colder outside then coffee.
I have been a frequent traveler to parts of the US that serve biscuits and gravy in lieu of breakfast. Biscuits I get. Please explain the source of the so-called gravy? In my world gravy comes from meat, or rather from the bits of brown stuff in the roasting pan with or without stock. Beef gravy is dark brown. Turkey gravy is lighter. Chicken lighter still, but meat doesn't make white gravy!?!?! It looks like Hollandaise or Bechamel, but not really. Is it vegan? Mineral, like, I assume grits? Flour and water?

I dunno but I've been craving a chicken fried steak for days

I brown my ground up breakfast sausage until it is brown and has rendered all the fat, add butter, flour, make a roux, add milk or half and half with water until the consistency I want. Seasoning salt and pepper to taste. It will clog your arteries but it is delicious. Not everyone likes it.

Fry sausage, and when you're done, add some water and flour and go to it. A few minutes later, gravy.

Perfect. This is how it is done. Lots of black pepper. And buttermilk biscuits if you can find the time to make them properly.

Sausage gravy was the product of people who had to feed many with little. Cook up a modest amount of pork sausage in the skillet, then stretch it out with a roux and water. You can feed a hungry army with a pound of ground sausage, if you add flour and water and pour it over some homemade biscuits.

Had it for breakfast this morning, though at a restaurant it’s no longer about economics, or my check would have been a few bucks cheaper.
