Wow... but I do remember it being like that in Portland when I was growing up. My bedroom was in the basement of an old drafty house. During the summer, it was always nice and cool, bordering on cold. During the winter it was always warm because the furnace was in the next room. My siblings and parents all had nice bedrooms upstairs, but I was the one who was comfy and even had my own private entrance and exit...

I can't believe how you brought all that back to me after all these years with a simple sentence. Sorry for rambling...
