I'm so sorry. I had HG with my second and spent seven months vomiting. It was awful. You have my deepest respect and condolences there. There were moments I wanted to die because I was so miserable.

(This is one reason why I will NEVER question a woman's decision to terminate a pregnancy. I almost did for one I really wanted)

What was it about the HG that caused you to not be able to BF? That's a really shitty side effect to an already miserable situation

So I was really sick all the way through the first trimester, ending up hospitalised. Managed to get it under control for the mid trimester to an extent, but in the third trimester it came back with a vengeance. I couldn't keep anything down and ended up hospitalised again and then I just lost weight.

My daughter was born healthy but very very under weight. And I was 28lbs/13kg lighter than when I fell pregnant.

I did manage to breastfeed, but my milk was non nutritious. It had no fatty content and was like water.
I was never told but presumed it was down to me not being able to eat very much for such a long long time.

My second followed the same pattern, except we managed to get in under control in the final trimester. She was a healthy weight, and my milk cam through healthy and nutritious.

Oh, I am sorry you had to go through that, all of that. Beyond what she went through, my ex was a L&D nurse, and I got stories all of the time that just left me awestruck at what women go through in pregnancy. I am so glad both children were born healthy, but heartbroken for what you endured for them. You are amazing.
