It just amazes me how those folks can offer up two opinions on or explanations for something that are mutually exclusive, then perform the sort of mental gymnastics that would make Simone Biles jealous to rationalize their thinking. At least to themselves.

It's interesting that you bring up Occam's razor. Because I realized a while back that the MAGA mindset is the opposite of that philosophy. The answer or solution always has to be the least likely, most convoluted option possible.

MAGA is kind of like the guys on Ancient Aliens. If an architectural achievement seems too advanced for an ancient civilization, it's not that we just haven't yet found all their tools and plans, their actual capabilities, but it must have been aliens from the Proxima Centauri system, who generated a wormhole to come to Earth, shapeshifted into gods and pharaohs, and used anti-gravity and directed energy weapons to build the Egyptian pyramids.

That's how MAGA explains everything. The least likely, most convoluted explanation possible.

Only those with critically-low intelligence and/or pathetically weak wills are susceptible.
