My buddy is out here from Western Pennsylvania, we’re gonna go shooting tomorrow. Not our smartest move…

But sometimes it just has to be done.

He needs some tlc My bff cat Misty had to he put down this week. She was very old and had a stroke..... sweet Misty cat.......

So sorry. We have a cat that is 19. Don’t know what we will do when something happens to him.

Our pets are like our family. I’m sorry Miss k. Rick - like L2 says, cherish your family, and pets while you can. 19 is a remarkably old age for a cat!!

They literally become part of your family.

Today is the first day of the Dayton Air Show! Want to stand out on a black topped airport runway and watch "the Blue Angels" blast your eardrums to oblivion. And in 96 degree heat, Fuck No!

I love a good airshow, and cool airplanes. But cool is the operative word there! No way would I do that and I don’t mind heat and humidity!

Everyone’s Quick to throw truck drivers under the bus (pun). People drive crazy around trucks when they go slow because they want to go fast and that also causes a shit ton of accidents.

On Tuesday, there was a massive wreck on one of our local roads, caused by someone trying to get around a dump truck when the lanes merged. Two fatalities. (Where 31 goes from two to one lanes in high bridge OM). Ugh. Preventable…

I work in Insurance and commercial trucking and long haul trucking is the worst line of business. I personally won’t even look at it anymore… with the huge jury verdicts, it’s impossible the price.

Its society and the victim mentality ... people are unwilling to take the consequences of their actions... oh I drove crazy but its someone else's fault and then the people in charge are such a bunch of bleeding hearts they financially reward bs behavior and ruin a business that was never at fault. All in the name of "we don't want people to feel upset about how stupid they are....ugh

Working on the second rifle, the one that arrived earlier this week. It's way cleaner. The new batch of op rod springs will be along on Tuesday or thereabouts, so I'll change the lightly rusted one that came with it. I guess that I'll get it all the way back together except for the spring. Then it'll be ready for a range trip, too. But I forgot to take my light so I haven't seen down the barrel yet.

The good news is the people who drooped hoarded cash in to housing starting 2020 pretty much spread it out in that market and you’re not competing with them any more.

The not so good news is they want return on their investments so rents, if you’re not in a position to buy, will keep rising as investors look to replace their cash.

Google Microsoft and Intel are moving in to neigh orange counties so we are actively planning for growth (i am on village council and the trustee of a sewer board) people with money are moving in and don't bat an eye at paying 210,000$ for a modular on a 66x60 ft lot.....this happened last week. It is nuts. The want small lots in small villages with close amenities ......

I am looking forward to taking the old warhorses out for a trot around the pasture, so to speak. Shooting Out West is always easier and much less expensive. I'd like to install a long range there. Maybe one day.

What chapped my ass about the Jabbas was the level of dishonesty. That got old in a hurry. When I knew that I knew better/differently and I'd hear Jabba s000per on the phone with Jabba Senior and tell him something else, I knew that I didn't want to get any of their stink on me. I also noticed about each of them, that whoever wasn't in the room was a dumbass. On the second rep of that, I realized that I was a dumbass to them if I wasn't present. And the time that Jabba Senior gave me someone else's performance review. That didn't matter because it was pretty good, actually.

Oh dont worry over the last several years there have been a couple solar fields put in (a little sarcasm)..... I hate all this but progress happens in spite of my personal wishes.... I have a little control over what happens in my neck of the woods but only in the way of how we annex people in the village not that it is going to happen. We have a very savvy mayor and council.... for the first time probably ever....
