Today is the first day of the Dayton Air Show! Want to stand out on a black topped airport runway and watch "the Blue Angels" blast your eardrums to oblivion. And in 96 degree heat, Fuck No! I'll watch it on TV. I can hear it in my living room ( I'm only 2 miles from the airport )

I'm so sorry! My sister had that happen with a couple of her dogs. Out of the blue and the next thing you know, it's time to say goodbye. Thinking your BFF could use some TLC, too

Good plan! I do the same thing w/ fireworks. Bug bites, loud noises, and driving home tired in the dark? No thanks.

My mom used to make fruitcake with that nasty candied fruit and peels. I hated it!

If I make it, there's dried fruits and nuts, along with spirits, in it!

As a kid, I used to hate those dried fruits. Fruit cake was an absolute no for me.

As an adult, I can almost tolerate them, but still not anything I ever strive for or want.

My little girl has discovered how to open the pocket door to the stairs that go down to the garage! I even blocked it off with a chair today; she still met us at the door at the bottom of the stairs!

I’ll bet most cats and dogs have opposable thumbs and just don’t let us know. Also, the ability to talk to each other in English or their own native tongue.

And of course, play cards! (You need opposable, thumbs, the ability to speak or communicate and high intelligence to do so…)

Mint Fudge Brownies

Oh yeah!!! My fave. Love the combo of chocolate, or fudge and mint!!

I think I am getting old though, really fudgy brownies are just too much for me now. That may be a partial lie but I just can’t eat the way I used to.

My brother in law was a truck driver and told so many stories of crazy drivers. He told me how to drive so trucks could see me. I follow his advice today.

Everyone’s Quick to throw truck drivers under the bus (pun). People drive crazy around trucks when they go slow because they want to go fast and that also causes a shit ton of accidents.

On Tuesday, there was a massive wreck on one of our local roads, caused by someone trying to get around a dump truck when the lanes merged. Two fatalities. (Where 31 goes from two to one lanes in high bridge OM). Ugh. Preventable…

I work in Insurance and commercial trucking and long haul trucking is the worst line of business. I personally won’t even look at it anymore… with the huge jury verdicts, it’s impossible the price.
