Anyone else go to concerts by themselves?

I’m going to one tonight and my husband thinks I’m crazy. I told him that before I met him I used to do it all the time. He thinks that’s weird. While there’s no debate about the fact that I am weird… is it weird to go to a concert alone?

I would tend to say yes, its out of my comfort to go to a concert alone HOWEVER; the times I have gone to a really good concert with somebody who is only meh about the band, I end up dancing and singing at the top of my voice by myself anyway so I can see the appeal.

I am a constant worrier. My mind goes into worst case scenario mode every time I do... well... anything. I think if I were to know when and how I was going to die, and that there was nothing I could do to change it, would ease a lot of my every day anxiety and I might actually feel the freedom to, IDK, live a little.

I feel this. I am the same way but I dont think I would want to know when and how long because then I would just worry about where my kids would go. Anxiety is the worst.

I like to be prepared. I might be a little OCD lol. If I knew when...I think I'd have all my affairs in order, planned my own funeral, and prepared everyone for what was going to happen and said my goodbyes. Sounds creepy, but comforting.

I have before. My wife and I have some very different tastes in music, so if I ever want to see live opera, bluegrass, or folk, I'll go on my own. With the music my wife likes that I don't, it's easier for her to find friends to go with, which makes me feel better just for her safety.

I should have used this as a selling point. If I’m going to fuck myself, I should probably at least take myself on a date!

I’m a cheap date. I’ll fuck myself without spending money.

But I’m also happy to go to a show alone that my wife has no interest in. I usually give her the option. Last time she took me up on it was Rev Horton Heat. Most recent solo show was the Dead Kennedys.
