And yes! You're absolutely right.
I normalized a bunch because of the family I was raised in followed by time in the armed services. I look back and cringe at how rampant the harassment is.

Longer hair is the one thing my husband has ever asked for in my appearance. I chopped it all off after our first baby, he didn't say anything, it wasn't until I'd let it grow out & was going to cut it again that he confessed that he like my hair past my shoulders, and my ultra short hair made me look too much like my mom which freaked him out
