We’re a banana republic.

BYRON YORK: Trump verdict a triumph for election denial.

And election interference. If any other country were pursuing trumped up and obscure criminal charges against the leading opposition figure less than 6 months before an election, we’d be mocking them as a banana republic. Guess what? We’re a banana republic.https://thumbs.dreamstime.com/b/cheerful-cartoon-banana-character-23357029.jpg

We're in a banana Republic only now?

For the past year or so Trump has insisted that he should have absolute immunity, that he could order the military to assassinate his political opponents for him. So where have you been? We've been in banana republic territory for a while now.

So the donald was CONVICTED of ALL charges UNANIMOUSLY by a jury of HIS PEERS, just as called for in our legal system and you are insisting that the charges were obscure and "Trumped up" (pun intended)? That his conviction was politically motivated?

Even if the charges were "Trumped up" (damn how I like that term!) why was the verdict unanimous? Did his legal defense screw the pooch so badly they allowed all the jurors to be anti-donald? Or did the government aided by the nefarious ( and seemingly Lib) "deep state" sneak in ringers in EVERY jury position? And how would that be done? Or was the jury pool all anti-donald to begin with (which if true (it ain't) BTW speaks volumes on how the actual populous see the donald, to his detriment)?

Actually your rant smells of "had he won the system worked. Because he didn't it was broken and crooked".

Curiouser and curiouser.

Comshaw

This is how we become a banana Republic:

Larry Hogan: "respect the rule of law. Remain calm."

Trump campaign: " you just destroyed your career"
Except Democrats do not respect the rule of law. The NY trial proves it.

Whooboy, that one really went over your head. No, I mean if trump is president he will drag our democracy down and turn us into a banana republic.

Already, Russia and China are sending condolences and support for trump. I don’t think that’s a positive sign for our country.
You're full of shit. It's already a Democrat created Banana Republic. Democrats destroy everywhere they govern. They do so because they are a lower class of people, they are stupid, selfish, and have a totalitarian mindset they apply to their opponents.

You're wrong. What made it an alleged felony was an undefined federal crime that Bragg had no authority to prosecute.
The felony was the falsification of records in.the furtherence of a crime.

I get that you don't like the law that New York has, but that doesn't mean it isn't a law nor does it dismiss that a jury of peers unanimously convicted.

Btw - I think the law is shit and that their legislator should address the problems with it

Yes, I get that you’re upset over the verdict.

I get that you're ignorant of the law and I'm being extremely generous here.
Still upset, I see.

But as to the trial, we’ll see. Maybe it’ll get overturned. But I’ve got to think that if the charges and package was so corrupt, unconstitutional and out of bounds as y’all are claiming that it would have imploded and never got to trial. And I also have to imagine that a judge in such an historical moment would make moves with an eye to appeal and not do anything to give an appeal judge the slightest reason to overturn his trial.

You don't have the slightest clue what you're talking about.

You don't like New York laws.

Sorry.

The case was brought and the prosecution proved their case.

Sorry.
Tell Dershowitz with 60 years of NY law under his belt that he doesn't understand NY law either. He has the same opinions.
