šŸ˜ˆāœØšŸŗMrTenant's Tavern and Dungeon

Yea, that's us. Though, we didn't need no stinking tornado to wreck the DFW area. Trees and power lines down everywhere. Insurance companies unavailable, tree removal backed up for weeks. Pretty nuts for a lot of people. My house though? We're great. Someone planned ahead and had some luck.
That’s what MEN do. You’re a man in full MR T. And I’m grateful you are ok! I saw the devastation on the news. I can’t imagine. Those poor people

It's gonna be an exceptionally hot student celebration day tomorrow. 15-22°C would be the normal range.

In my age, that would very very warm. Too warm for me
22°C is normal room temperature, but 28...yes, I agree, it's a bit too warm. Especially as it gets above 25°C even indoors. Heat doesn't happen that much here that houses would have AC.

I'm 70 and I have health issues & feel the heat. I don't like to sit indoors. I'm adventurous & Mrs Rj likes to take walks.

I have health issues and have gotten all too used to not being able to take walks all around the year. Sometimes it's heat, sometime cold, usually dust, though... Or then just my asthma at that moment.

I do have a movable AC, but using it constantly is expensive of course, and also then I can't have the balcony door open - to the discontentment of my cats.

Mrs Rj and I are going to Garage Sales & flea marketing. I just know we're coming home with a ton of shit we don't need.

After getting rid of the loads of unnecessary stuff, and still having more to do, it kinda helps to be more tight with buying anything new...

It's 85F (29 C) here (at 8 am), and supposed to reach 103F (39 C) this afternoon.

I find it amazing what humans can get used to as "normal" for them.
I can manage until 30C, if the nights are below 26C. But it seems my body doesn't accept getting used to anything above 30. It basically goes "nope, lungs can't take it, brain can't take it - need to stay somewhere with AC".

I totally understand. I used to have a much higher tolerance for the heat but I stupidly gave myself a heat stroke about 20 years ago. I can't deal with it at all like I used to. But since I lived the last 2 summers here with highs of 115F (46C) without working AC, I learned how to deal with it. Luckily, I got a new HVAC system now, so it won't be nearly so miserable.
