Brunch was wonderful with friends. The coffee shop is where they roast their own coffee beans. I had a cheesy egg burrito. And lots of talk with other widows and widowers. We are a close group that help and support each other.

Then of to play games with my friends of 40 years.

The storms came through and it was just rain. No damage

Happy Memorial Day!!! Looks like rain here shortly. The coffee is up and it's almost time for a refill. Today is still kinda up in the air as far as "plans" goes. All y'all were chatty last night. I may catch up, and I may not. Probably. There no malice in our chalise. I'm getting fond of (almost) all y'all and that really kinda has tooken me a bit by surprise. I'ma blame Lilianna and Wonderer . . . .

Happy Monday, Muffin!!! I moved the bike to cut the grass - it stays in the yard during the week. So, no, a ride was plotted but I didn't push hard enough to make it happen. Cats stay inside - I can't abide feline road pizza. And I lost the rifle auction, but, so it goes. There are others. There's a guy selling a very early extremely nice Winchester M1 in the town I'm working in during the week. He has several for sale. I think I'll reach out to him and go to visit and talk and see what we can work out.

I know what you mean. I use a gunsmith outside Glasgow for all my stuff. He is a fantastic craftsman but inevitably is busy.

This is my clock. A cabinet maker friend of my father made the case after the old dome got bust decades ago.

I’m so jealous you saw a race in Monza!. How cool. I lived in the Old Country for five years and never was able to catch one. I would love to catch Monza, Red Bull Ring, Nurburg Ring (new), or Silverstone! We have three chances here in the US now, so that’s more likely than not.

I take the wee lassie known affectionately as That Damned Kitten with me on road trips. She rides pretty well. She spends a chunk of time sitting/lying behind my neck. I have a picture, but I'll have to crop it heavily because it shows too much of the side of my head for an anonymous website

Did a Memorial Day service this morning. Then to see my mom.

Still no power. They replaced the two poles last nite, but now rain and thunderstorms are preventing further progress. At least we can get thru the road now and don’t feel landlocked.

We had such a nice time at our impromptu cookout yesterday.

Raining now so no outdoor work. But I do need to get more sunflowers and pumpkins planted so I’ll start them.

Have caught up on all your threads and hope that you spent memorial day as you each would have wished. I never served and the few snippets my elder family members told me I am glad I have been blessed that way.

It’s a start at the desk for me now dealing with the I know is but expecting just that I didn’t know was until I sniffed it.
