Good you have these things, particularly the clock. I have my great grandmother's skeleton clock. Sat on my grandfather's side board then my father's. Been in the family since 1870s and will next got to my daughter. I had it serviced and the dial silverd again. Keeps time to within a minute or so a week.

A sound 7 hours and then up. Once awake I can not go back to sleep. I am going to bake apple crisp and some breakfast cookies. Then I am going to the cemetery to pay respects to my late wife and make sure the grounds sre in good shape. It was good B2, and yours? I'm glad your feeling better

People who know this stuff are thin on the ground. I used a very famous one here in the UK. Had to wait thoughThis is an 8-day clock that craps out on day 5. I never cared much if it ran all week. I think it belonged to his (my grandfather) grandmother. My son lives in a bigger city and has a better chance of finding a clock technician who could get it sorted.

I know what you mean. I use a gunsmith outside Glasgow for all my stuff. He is a fantastic craftsman but inevitably is busy. One always has to wait.
I have looked at getting a M1 rifle built for shooting matches. Then I found one for sale. The price isn't much different, but the huge difference is - waiting. There's no wait on the old rifle.
I see it!! It’s that white boat in the water! You know…in NZ…they think YOU have a sexy accent!
OK sports fans…you know what day it is? Yes, we covered the official meaning for us Yanks, but do you know what 2 Day is? Only the greatest day of RACING ever! Formula One in Monaco (the crown jewel of that circuit), Indy 500 in…Indy, and the whatever they’re calling the NASCAR race now n Charlotte.
So your Morning Zen will be a little different today…a picture of my Yacht parked at the race…can you see me?

This is my clock. A cabinet maker friend of my father made the case after the old dome got bust decades ago.
Good. I am glad you are safe.Just wind & a lot of rain, phew!
Love the rifle although they are not my thing. I will feed some pics of my sporting guns in over time as I don’t want to bore everyone senseless all at once! LoLMine is a boring clock-in-a-box. There is a very old cat sleeping next to it ATM.
