What’s your most controversial opinion?

A somewhat serious one: Alabama is heading toward being the next North Carolina (think Research Triangle). I think it's 10 to 20 years away, but finally heading the right way. OTOH I'm not sure if Birmingham can get it's act together. Having just visited I think it could go either way. There is a lot of potential there, but it's going to be a tough slog.

I really liked during Covid when my grocery had one way aisles.
I miss that so much … PLUS the queued lines where people HAD to be 6’ apart… fucking miss that so much.

The worst of humanity exists in checkout lines.
Have you tried the stores that have no checkout lines? They just charge the card on file with what you put in your cart and you walk right out. It’s fantastic and I get to avoid almost all the people :D

I know amazon is evil, watching my every move, and reading my mind but I don't fucking care cause I can just walk out.

No. Where is this? I would probably move for this.

Is this a thing? I'm tired of this bagging my own groceries shit.

Did you know that Freddy Mercury existed?
Who?

Kidding, yes. Freddy is amazing of course. Probably should have said "personal favorite" rather than "best ever." Really I just want to keep the "[noun] is a sandwich" joke going. :p
