My husband was in the military so the last handful of moves we’ve done (and all the ones since having kids) have been with professional packers/movers. I’m not sure I can ever pack myself again. I’ve been too spoiled.
Sure, they broke a few things. But still… worth it.
By worth it I mean someone else paid for it and that was very worth it to me

Yeah, my last move was about seven miles, so I couldn't justify movers, but am firm believer in them. Used my kid's boyfriend to move a lot.

My last house was three stories, so two of living space stacked over a garage. Our bedroom was on the third floor. We have very heavy bedroom furniture (which I happily ceded in the divorce because I never wanted to move them again). The mover said "lotta stairs." I replied "that's why we hired you."

That’s fair. I don’t blame you for purging them. I do purge ones I don’t care about. But, if it’s a good one, I don’t care how long it’s been since I opened it or if I’ll never touch it again.

I read a lot. But I've never really bought books unless I had to because I've always gone to the library. I still aimlessly browse books in the library like I did as a kid

I understand that in my head, but not in my heart. Because I reread, so something I read at 25 hits different at 55. And that is worth it to me.
