My husband was in the military so the last handful of moves we’ve done (and all the ones since having kids) have been with professional packers/movers. I’m not sure I can ever pack myself again. I’ve been too spoiled.Packing. And that’s not a euphemism unfortunately
It’s annoying but also it’s good to purge stuff. I need less stuff as a general principle. My husband was in the military so the last handful of moves we’ve done (and all the ones since having kids) have been with professional packers/movers. Sure, they broke a few things. But still… worth it.
By worth it I mean someone else paid for it and that was very worth it to me![]()
Yeah, my last move was about seven miles, so I couldn't justify movers, but am firm believer in them. I am bad at decluttering, but honestly, most of my stuff is books. And geek toys, heh. But way more books. And those are just the ones that mean something and so I want to keep. It’s annoying but also it’s good to purge stuff. I need less stuff as a general principle.
Whatcha making?I was sewing...

I skimmed that article and smdh...https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2024/05/16/is-a-taco-a-sandwich/73715984007/
So a judge says a taco is a sandwich. The Cube rule says a hotdog is a taco.
Therefore a hotdog is a sandwich.
Like you're trying to steal my girl and my man? That was my voice! Don’t be stealing my love!
Marry meWow.

Books are the primary target of my purge. If I haven’t opened it in 10 years, I’m never going to.Books don’t count as clutter. They are books!
I'm an only child
Anyway I offered to share. You said no.
That’s fair. I don’t blame you for purging them. I do purge ones I don’t care about. But, if it’s a good one, I don’t care how long it’s been since I opened it or if I’ll never touch it again.Books are the primary target of my purge. If I haven’t opened it in 10 years, I’m never going to.
I read a lot. But I've never really bought books unless I had to because I've always gone to the library. I still aimlessly browse books in the library like I did as a kidThat’s fair. I remember going through my parents bookshelf when I was a kid. Full of wonders.
I understand that in my head, but not in my heart. Because I reread, so something I read at 25 hits different at 55. And that is worth it to me.Books are the primary target of my purge. If I haven’t opened it in 10 years, I’m never going to.
