Oh that’s biology not chemistry … wtf.

They're definitely working on something that's at the intersection of chemistry and biology. Most of the rest of the worksheet had a bunch of equations on it. And it had a lot of big words I don't understand.

No that’s not how it works. You go from generalizable to specialized. There’s no fundamental laws of chemistry that aren’t tied back to the Laws of Thermondynamics or Maxwell’s equations, or Schrodinger’s law. It’s all physics.
