But take grilled rye, with corned beef or pastrami, sauerkraut and Swiss cheese……well thousand island dressing with a hint of horseradish is perfect (aka Russian dressing but you can’t seem to find that at the store anymore).

As someone who almost exclusively eats beef... you couldn't pay me to eat a big mac. I very much doubt that qualifies as "beef" whatever they put in there.

However - for everyone who loves those things - good for you! Eat what you want and enjoy it!

I agree with you when it comes to a Reuben sandwich, thousand island is tolerable. And I hadn't thought of adding horseradish to it...but that is definitely something I will be doing now.

I remember as a kid, my sister loved the fry sauce from some burger joint we went to (I hated it, no surprise there).

And one day she spent a bunch of time in the kitchen combining stuff to get "the taste". I'm almost positive it ended up being mayo and ketchup.
