Monday, April 15th: First Ever Criminal Trial for a Former US President

It's Democrat lawfare. There will be a reckoning if he is reelected. He needs to do what Bill Clinton did when he entered office, He needs to fire all 93 U.S. Attorneys and appoint his own. He needs to fire the top ten people in every government agency and replace them with his own people. He needs to cancel every one of Joe Biden's radical EOs. He needs to put our military on the border and authorize operations inside of Mexico if need be.
I’m sure that’s the plan. In my opinion not all U.S. attorneys are compromised. If pubs don’t win the Senate majority it’s all for not.

All federal rules and regulations stem from Presidential constitutional authority. Your flaccid reply is proof you have no legitimate rejoinder.
You've already said that several times; it's not making any points. You have lost your energy and have long before run out of rejoinders.

What's left to correct? Except for your faulty grammar and vocabulary selection. That's all you had left for me to consider.

I did that as a courtesy, no charge.

Replacing governmental positions with yes men seems a bit authoritarian and borderline autocratic. Maybe it's just me

You'd be better off if you furthered your education and didn't say anything at all.

My education is the least of your concerns. I'm at the end of the life spectrum.

Through those eighty-six years, I've made considerable progress in my education: two master's degrees and enough other advanced classes to be able to read, write, and do arithmetic. I even took a few courses in polemics.

I'll elect not to take your poor advice to remain silent, just to piss on your arrogance and keep up with your posts. They are fun and funny at times. Humor is good for the soul, it's said.

Have a pleasant day.

The fact is that presidents don't actually classify and declassify documents themselves. And Trump didn't bother to do that. Declassification is a process that goes back to the original classifier. I don't think any president before Trump will claim they personally got into that process on any document.
The salient point is that, in the established process, you CANNOT declassify a document without taking it to the originating office for action there--either agreement or an explanation why it can't be declassified, which is just a common sense requirement. All of this "Trump declassification" shit is just that--shit.

But but but!!!
Big Butt was the King! He gets to make the rules with immunity and can pardon himself by twitching his nose as can any cute witch!

The question is, was it a breach of national security or was it a case of over-classification? You framed it as secret info while the whole world knows about it. If it was info on operational tempo then all bets are off and Trump should be charged in accordance with what statute is applicable. Trump was also trying to make a sale without divulging classified technical details. We’ll see.
Well, to my knowledge we don’t really know what trump divulged. And I get your point, but seems to me that if something is classified you don’t talk about it with unauthorized people even if it’s fairly common knowledge, like tritium at the Savannah river plant back in the day.

If it wasn’t for that the Dems have lied, cheated, weaponized the justice system to get rid of Trump it might hold weight, but Dems cried wolf far too many times, far too many frivolous accusations.
Well, that’s a bit tomato tomahto

Yet another example of Jack Smith's legendary overreach about to be struck down. The DOJ radicals have misused the law with unique interpretations to go after Trump his supporters and to cast a wide net to ensnare any Republican citizen who happened to be visiting in Washington DC on Jan.6.
Maybe not be so much overreach as a weaponized SCOTUS. I mean, why not if the DOJ can be as y’all claim.

his lawyers need to have a word with his ignorant arse:

"I thought STRIKES were supposed to be 'unlimited' when we were picking our jury?" Trump wrote on his social media platform. "I was then told we only had 10, not nearly enough when we were purposely given the 2nd Worst Venue in the Country."

Trump does get unlimited strikes to remove a juror for cause, which means for a specified reason -- but both the defense and prosecutors have a limited number of preemptory challenges, which allow for the removal of a juror for any reason.

Well said, RG is such a pompous arse!

The president of these United States can order declassification at any level, not that it’s done that way but the executive branch is not subservient to its own agencies, it’s the other way around.

Congress can play a role in some declassification. Congress is required to abide by statutes for the protection of government secrets.

Perhaps this will clear up the process of declassification.

First I see this:
The second juror selected was excused after she had expressed concerns about her identity being made public. After Merchan excused her, he told reporters not to detail where prospective jurors work and he would block them from doing that.
I have the legal authority to do it," Merchan said.
Then I see this:
The four men and three women who were ultimately sworn in as jurors Tuesday include a West Harlem married man with no kids who will serve as the jury foreperson. He was born in Ireland and works in sales.
The second juror is an oncology nurse at Memorial Sloan Kettering and lives on the Upper East Side. The third juror is a corporate lawyer from Oregon who lives in Chelsea.
The fourth juror is an IT consultant and married grandfather who lives on the Lower East Side and is originally from Puerto Rico. The fifth juror is a charter school teacher from Harlem.
The sixth juror is a software developer for Disney who lives in Chelsea.

Had I known of your advanced age, I would have had a better understanding of your diminished capacity and inability to draw upon the bulk of what you state to be an advanced education. I have a lot of respect and tolerance for my elders so in the future I will endeavor to be more sympathetic and forgiving in my tenor.

I would expect no less from an honorable Literary Scholar.

Your words, however, ring hollow. Your snide commentary backhanded the idea of better understanding immediately. I will look for improvement in your future retorts.

You have proven time and again that you have little respect for others. If one accepts your statements blindly, you allow them the privilege of agreeing with you—a Trumpian syndrome fault.

But carry on ... you are amusing as I sit in my rocker and read your bleatings.

One of the first seven jurors selected for Trump's trial has been dismissed for being a secret ball-gargling Trumpist. I'm shocked, I tell you! SHOCKED!

To get respect you have to give respect, the left hasn't heard of the concept. The creaking of your rocker on the old cabin floor is somehow expressed in your elderly posts.

i saw those media descriptions on prime time news coverage yesterday, and Merchan's remarks were made today. Have those comments ben repeated since? If so, they need to be sanctioned. I also saw, yesterday, actual physical descriptions of some of the jurors, even down to what a couple were wearing. This is not acceptable.

At the start of the day, a nurse slotted as “juror number two” said details reported by news outlets allowed her to be identified by friends, scaring her enough to want to avoid serving on the most significant trial in the country’s history.

Then, at noon, a Puerto Rican IT consultant chosen to be “juror number four” held a private meeting with the judge, prosecutors, and defense attorneys to apparently share similar concerns.

New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan later said he wouldn’t overstate the man's feelings but said “he expressed annoyance at how much” is out there about him.
