Sex & Shenanigans

My thought is, when parking, you are able to stop traffic and safely back onto the space knowing another car likely won’t show up in the same spot. And when you go to leave, you can clearly see if cars are coming and pull out quicker and safe, because of that visibility.

Conversely, pulling in nose first is faster, but pulling out is more likely to have a problem because you can’t see as well.

And as you said - somebody is likely to have to wait either for backing in or backing out. I can’t see how either can be considered rude.

But, I am skilled at backing up, so it doesn’t take me long, either way.

All good points - Except most of the fucktards who feel Compelled to back up in the morning when everyone is trying to catch the train don’t have your skills. Some couldn’t back up into a small dong if their bunghole was the Grand Canyon :)

Moonstruck is perfection.
I never enjoyed it as much as I thought I should have. Beyond Valley Girl, my favorite was Racing with the Moon. It is Penn's film (and I loved early Sean Penn as well), but their chemistry is perfect. Cage's character reminds me of my friend in high school, who was a bit of an asshole, but would stick through with you when it counted. And the pool hall scene, where they are trying to hustle some sailors, is perfect. Absolutely perfect. "Okay, how good are these guys?" "A whole lot better than they were five minutes ago."

I have a strong distaste for Nicolas Cage. He makes everything he's in worse.

Even in this?

I won't watch it.
I'm still mad at 1996 for giving him an Oscar.

Nicholas Cage has the highest risk/reward ratio of any actor in Hollywood. When he’s dialed in, he’s fucking fantastic, and he’s got some very good taste in picking projects, when he wants to, but it’s so hard to tell if you’re getting that Nic or the “I just want some $” Nic.

What about "Bad Lieutenant; Port Of Call?"

That is batshit crazy in the best of ways.

I loved his early work. Valley Girl was, and still is, one of my favorite takes on Romeo and Juliet, and the cast is brilliant. It was Cage's first lead. Racing with the Moon, which Cage and Sean Penn, was solid. Birdy. Moonstruck. Wild at Heart. Guarding Tess.

Raising Arizona.
Cage's performance made that film, one of the greatest comedies in American cinema.

Now when he just started playing "Nic Cage goes batshit on your script," I was less a fan and agree with you completely.

Moonstruck is perfection.

Wasn't he in tremors... Wait. No just kidding!
Yes, Nicholas Cage movies vary WILDLY from awesome to awesomely bad, but that’s half the fun! Fuck yes he’s going to overact the fuck out of whatever role he’s given, but whether it’s good or bad, one thing it will not be is boring! And if it’s bad, it’s even better with a group to laugh at together.
Also, how has no one mentioned Face/Off?!? (BTW, I’ve never seen Moonstruck 🫣 I’m sure I’ll get around to it someday, but I’m not a big Cher fan)

Generally agree - BUT I liked him in Leaving Las Vegas and City of Angels. Those movies were tailored for him. I can think of a few others also, like Moonstruck, and the Family Man.

You continue to be my favorite kitty. He’s NEVER boring.

Moonstruck is absolutely fantastic. I only watched it for the first time recently and kicked myself for sleeping on it so long.

Face/Off and The Rock are both far better action movies than Con Air.

Pig is one of the best movies of this century.

Prisoners of the Ghost land…sure is a movie. Can’t exactly recommend it as such. But it sure is a thing I saw with my own two eyes and continue to think about. Color out Of Soace and Mandy as well (these three movies exist in a spectrum in my brain).

He’s so fascinating. And I had this opinion before I watched Community 🤣

...trying to catch the train. That tells me you are talking about a very different world then I know anything about or have experienced. I'm totally a west coastie... but... I do live just a few hours drive from the Grand Canyon. 🥰 🥰 🥰 🥰

Pssst, you are starting to sound like Patrick Bateman talking about Huey Lewis and the News with your discourse on Cage. Im not saying it’s a bad thing……it’s just a thing.

Yesss! Loved Face/Off and The Rock. Just rewatched The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent with my dad a few days ago too!

I feel the exact same way about Prisoners of the Ghostland! I really wanted to like The Color Out of Space, since it’s one of the better HP Lovecraft stories, but he was (spectacularly) bad in that one!

Oh, The Rock! I forgot about The Rock. Bruckheimer's most human focused, and last good, movie. Love that one.

Haven’t watched much Community at all, BTW, so I wouldn’t have noticed even if you copied a monologue from the verbatim. I just can’t with Joel McHale. I hate him in everything!

That’s too bad, I really like Nicholas Hoult, he’s so good in “The Great”
Love love love Hoult in The Great, and Warm Bodies! He wasn’t bad in Tolkien either, but definitely does comedy better

I really wanted to like Pig, but I couldn't do it.

LOL I was busy, okay? Haha I adore you guys, but if I have to choose between shenanigans or sexting, playing with toys and sending my honey multiple audio clips…welp, just be glad I’m back here catching up before passing the fuck out 😅
Fyi kitty... I would never ever expect you to prioritize us over wet kitty time. Ever. Take your time. We love you for more than the updates. ❤️

Other random Cage thoughts:

• I always get Next mixed up with Knowing. Basically the same movie, right?
• National Treasure movies were solidly entertaining
• What was the one that was like Five Nights at Freddy’s, but not?
• The Sorcerer’s Apprentice was just bad. Really bad
• He was extra smarmy Cage in Snake Eyes…he was only more at his Cage-y-est in Face/Off
