Marlowe (2022).

I like Liam Neeson, so I was really hoping the myriad of reviews were wrong. Which happens with me more often than not. But -

Nope.

The plot was fine. The visuals, lovely. The casting - not wonderful. Neeson is usually great in anything, but he's not Marlowe. There is zero chemistry between he and Diane Kruger. Few, if any, of the characters are well developed. The whole thing was just rather flat.

Raymond Chandler would be sad.

Wow. I looked up The Bermuda Depths (1978).

Because of course I did.

That is quite the involved synopsis on Wiki. I like that it's an American/Japanese collaboration. Rather hopeful of old style kaiju-esque. Looks worth a watch. Even if there is no giant gymnast turtle.

I will say though, their turtle lacks the requisite upside down tusks.
