Endless Ends

Also, since I can’t quite googling. 😬

-Sea Bishop - This little guy was kinda sad.

-Sea Monk - Better. More mysterious and increased potential scare factor. 🕶️

I will say, that search turned up some interesting tidbits.

-Bernard Heuvelmans (b. 1916) - A founder of Cryptozoology. (Note, Wiki terms cryptozoology as pseudoscience. Rude. :p)

-Jenny Hanniver - This is . . . . (Basilisks?)

I need an adult to block Enny's internet access.

:p

Welp. I'm abandoning A Memory Called Empire (for the third time) in favor of Ancillary Justice (which I've mentioned before).

Because some days a girl just needs a thousand word, gender blind, A.I. protagonist, space opera comfort read. 🕶️

Don't worry, everyone might be termed She, but there's still two sexes.

Were you worried?

Pretty sure you were worried.
:p

One day I am going to figure out the problem and finish that darn book. 😬

Tomorrow I hit the downed trees and branches.

One back in the woods amidst two foot high grass. Both mired in a clutch of trees. Chainsaws, unstable trees, and no doubt a couple score copperheads lurking in the grass. 😬

I’m not scared.

Nope.

Well, maybe a little.

Only because I am a well documented danger to myself and others. 🤣

Pray for me. Or, you know, whatever. :p

Enny, hang in there:

All this is building for the grand happening in only 9 days !! . . . during which your spirit will reunite with the universe ! (y)

Unfortunately that event will not kill wild grass or shatter unstable trees, but a re-born Sun Queen will emerge with strength to tackle the "back 40". (but be careful with that damn chainsaw !)

Any sexy songs we should know about?
I will keep you apprised. :p

I am unfamiliar with this song. Is it one of those "the grave is all that awaits" dirges? Did you not expect me to survive the day?

I mean, admittedly, the odds were 50/50 but - :p

Ta da!!

I feel accomplished. 🕶️

Hours and hours of clearing.

There even a save on the chainsaw! Help swooped in last minute. (Seems no one trusts me not to kill myself. 😂)

I will say this *save* seemed to include a disproportionate amount of cussing . . . .

However! Totally worth it, as that left me only having to deal with the smaller, battery operated chainsaw. Besides, the sound cancelling headphones muffled the worst of the words. :p

Am I done?

Nope.

There are still several mountains of limbs, branches, and branchlets that have to make their way to the burn pile.

Which will not be happening tomorrow.

My body has plans to mutiny.

*thud*

Yesterday was crazy full of people. Too much so. Last night, I indulged. Sugar, in the form of chocolate, is my go to when burnt out.

Starting a full and grueling work day with a sugar hangover is . . . not my favorite. 😬

That, combined with my old PM crawl, have me thinking about submission. Back in the day, a burnout day would culminate in … well, you know ... *you knows*.

Better than sugar. :p

^^^ Sparked a train of thought, so, things I miss about submission.

*you knows*

-sleeping better
-The Lap
-less anxiety
-a sense of security
-bedtime PMssssssssss
-less whining

Errr, well, there might’ve still been whining, but it was….well….different.

Did I mention *you knows*

:p

This Farmhouse Project is the biggest thing I’ve ever tackled. One day (if I ever finish) I will be taking a break and heading back to spas, and downtown restaurants, lovely shoes, and . . . .

Sitting on my fanny. 😂

I now collapse on the couch to watch an old mystery and surf. With alcohol.

The may be updates.

Or I may just pass out. :p

My feet hurt. Actually, all of me hurts. 😬😂

I will keep you apprised. :p

Nay, nay . . . "All My Trials” is a folk song during the social protest movements of the 1950s and 1960s. It is based on a Bahamian lullaby that tells the story of a mother on her death bed, comforting her children. The message — that no matter how bleak the situation seemed, the struggle would ‘soon be over’ — propelled the song to the status of an anthem, recorded by many of the leading artists of the era.

Despite the lulllaby it is based on, it's an encouragement that your commitment and efforts will soon be over and rewarded ! :D

Thank you for that clarification! :p

My struggles with this rehab feel eeeeeeendless. 😂

Anne Lecke (Ancillary Series) impresses me with her toss away lines or random inserts that aren't, in fact, random in the least.

(I've mentioned this before.)

Casually sung song from a crew member on Ancillary Sword:

"Who only ever loved once?
Who ever said “I will never love again”
and kept their word?
Not I."

I am enamored of this series.

In case that's not obvious. :p

^^^ sparked a train of thought, so I texted The Bestie:

Me: Is it okay if I ask you a weird question?
Bestie: Since when do you ask? 🤣

Me: Well, it’s Monday and it’s kinda personal.
Bestie: So, the usual? 🤣

Me: Oh, hush.
Me: Have you loved anyone since Wank Weasel?

*Wank Weasel is my name for her ex-husband who was a complete ass in the divorce.*

Bestie: Maybe, but I got bored, so maybe not. 🤷‍♀️
Me: I am . . . not entirely sure it that counts as a yes or no. 😂

Me: *tells her about the quote*
Me: Do you think there are people who don’t ever love again?
Bestie: Maybe? I think more likely in the moment we think that person is the love of our life, till it ends.

Me. Okay. That ends Random Questions Monday. Thank you for your participation.
Bestie: The things you think about. 🤣

Per usual we have entirely different perspectives. I absolutely know for certain there are some people who remain in love and don’t love again.

I don’t know why I talk to her. :p

*toodles off to do something useful*

So far:

-Flights of silent planes (in 1965? 🤷‍♀️)

-Mentions of the cold war

-Toy ships breaking up the ice. 🤣

Oh! Downed plane has caused an explosion and broken open the ice. Giant turtle appears.

GIANT TURTLE HAS TUSKS

Scene cuts to strangely stylishly put together Japanese scientists asking *eskimos* about, "Strange Turtles on the Atlantis Continent," in a moment of subtle foreshadowing!

I am slightly confused as to why the Inuits would be privy to Atlantis zoology. 🤔

The whole turtle with tusks thing bears further investigation.

BRB. :p

Omgosh. Turtle is walking upright on ice to attack toy ship. 🤣

He roars flame!

Ship has signaled troops. No-one seems to find this turtle situation odd.

* * *
Also, according to The Daily Mail ( :p ). The first animal with tusks was the turtle-like dicynodonts!

Of course, none of the pictures on the Wiki pages look like turtles. And the tusks protrude down, not up. Pfft. Amateurs. *rolls eyes*

* * *
Oh! Oh! A Flying Saucer has entered the picture. 🕶️

-Tusky giant turtle spares child. (I approve. 🕶️ )

-Child ends up - through own foolishness - having from lighthouse railing. *gasps*

-Oh! TGT saves child!!

* * *

These special effects are killing me! 🤣

* * *

Ooooooh! Gamera consumes fire. *wiggles eyebrows*

-Oh, no! Gamera is trapped on his back!

Wait.

Whoa. Gamera can pull in his head and limbs, shoot flames out of his orifices, and fly while turning in a circle!!!

Suddenly I am thinking that flying saucer might not have been a flying saucer . . . .
Also thinking I may have seen this before. ^^^That seems kinda familiar. 😂

-Oh! Now Gamera is traveling the world.

They have pictures. :p
