My mom loves them. It's something that is nostalgic for people I think. Nostalia makes the worst things palatable.

My theory? The indestructible eyes survive the digestive tract and merge into the body, entering the blood stream and violating the blood/brain barrier. There they connect as eldritch network nodes, slowly taking over the thinking of the eater, forcing them to buy new, different peeps in order to create a conglomeration of different nodes.

Weren't those all made out of the leftover materials from those Christmas fruitcakes? Or maybe they are recycled, I'm not sure. It's like some industrial by-product that they had to find some use for.

So, she peels the potatoes, then slices em, i used the mandolin she usually knifes them and then parboils them and then makes a cheese rue sauce and put them in a 13x9 pan and bakes them til they're like golden brown on top

So good.

My mom always makes boxes ones, but these are bests
