Hood strawberries. I am not a strawberry fan, in general, but I drive over to Sauvie Island (a good 20 miles) to pick Hoods.

I tell you what... y'all are making me want to move to the PNW just for the coffee. Originally it was for the rain and possible sparkly vampires. But, coffee might be the best reason yet.

I mean I'm close enough to Canada, and my ancestors came from Canada (sorta) so I have a big affinity for those lovely Canadians

They make it even strawberry-er.

And where I'm from, Hood is the name of a dairy that makes (among other things) those little ice cream cups with the wooden spoon (or at least, they did back in the 80's). And the slogan for those ice creams led to women of a certain stature being called "Hoodsies" because they were "Short and sweet and good to eat."

They came from Germany originally, moved to upstate New York, then ran to Canada because of Native American uprisings...then later settled here in Michigan lol
