They take the fun out of collaborating and sharing ideas. They tried to make a fun hobby a competition to see who could have the most, rarest, best, etc. and constantly put each other and others down. They're essentially hipsters of the geek world. "You have the Haunted House 10273? Do you even know what it was based off of?"

It’s the homework, for me. I love hearing people talk about things they’re passionate about, whether I am or not. SOME guys…when you show the slightest bit of interest in a thing they like, they suddenly bombard you with links to 12 YouTube videos to watch, a list of 8 books to read and 11 movies to watch. It can be exhausting!
