I like american accents

Howdy, y'all.
Lemme have a coiffee.

Have a nice day!

Serious question - Do Brits tend to notice all of the regional accents and different speech patters that exist across the US, or do you just hear an American accent?

We don't have the incredible diversity in accents like the UK (especially considering how small the country is), but there is still quite a bit of variation. For instance, I've never said "howdy y'all" in my life

Yeah. We notice.

Probably couldn't tell you where they are all from. Even vaguely. I could probably guess at a southern accent... from a northern. But that's about it.

So, the howdy and y'all I use often, though don't think I've ever said them together like that. 🤔

Being Midwestern, I allegedly have one of the most neutral English accents. I'm sure there are a few on here who can confirm, haha. Was once accused if sounding like a mainstream radio DJ. 😆

Whore companions are special.

I say, “Hey y’all.”
