Day 13: A song you’ve seen performed live
Since I’m currently reading Gold Dust Woman, the biography of Stevie Nicks, it seems only appropriate to post her today. I saw her in 2017 and it was incredible. I’ve been a Stevie/Fleetwood Mac fan for as long as my memory serves. My mom used to sing me one of their songs as a lullaby.
Watching her spin around that stage (which I don’t think she does in this video) is nothing short of magical.

Stevie Nicks - Gold Dust Woman

Just a +1 for this since it’s her solo and not with Fleetwood Mac
My wife’s favorite band as well. My daughter was very nearly named Rhiannon.

so, i try to turn in too :) heres my:

Day 1: Theme song from a favorite TV show: obviously Star Trek :D

Day 2: Excellent TV show theme song, regardless if you like the show: Baywatch...

Day 3: A song you hate to love: Helene Fischer - Atemlos durch die Nacht

Day 4: A song by a local artist (Ostwestphalen-Lippe in NRW/Germany): Duivelspack - Schockschwerenot

Day 5: A song for a road trip: Larkin Poe - Southern Comfort

Day 6: A song that mentions a body part: Wheeler Walker Jr. - Fingerblast

Day 7: A song for a foggy/misty morning: Wardruna and Aurora - Helvegen

Day 8: A song that mentions a body of water: Sabaton - Bismarck

Day 9: A song that’s originally done by a man, but covered by a woman: Karise Eden - its a mans world

Day 11: A song that mentions an instrument: Feuerschwanz - Wir lieben Dudelsack (We love Bagpipes)

Day 12: A song that features a non-mainstream instrument (something other than guitar, bass, drums, keys): dArtagnan - Hey Brother

Day 13: A song you’ve seen performed live: Böhse Onkelz- Hier sind die Onkelz (Live in Dortmund)

Day 13: A song you’ve seen performed live:
So many I could go with here - and some of my favorites included - but I'll go with this one for the sheer fact I had the wonderful opportunity to share the mic with Jim Lindberg and sing it once upon a time. For the record this is no great feat as the crowd is often invited up to sing this one. I was just the licky guy he put his arm around and handed the mic to.
Bro Hymn - Pennywise

Day 13: A song you’ve seen performed live

Well, it appears that I'm posting Hozier three days in a row 🤷🏻‍♀️ I saw him perform Take Me to Church at The Greek shortly before the pandemic. I've never been so grateful I didn't save money on cheap seats 🤣

Such a fun venue to get good seats at too. Not that I ever have but I’m always envious of those who do 🤣

Day 13: A song you’ve seen performed live:

I probably could've picked from any number of brilliant artists who we've taken long road trips to see perform, or who I saw when I lived in a city for university or something... but I wanted to honour an artist who actually took the effort to hit up smaller centres on her tour.
Sarah was absolutely fantastic, and she performed one of my favourite Leonard Cohen songs...

Sarah Slean - Dress Rehearsal Rag

I had it on the list for my daughter. Husband vetoed 🙄
My wife vetoed a lot of names, like "Cordelia" (Lear's nice daughter, not from Buffy. Honest.) and "Galadriel," which I thought was lovely. Vetoing down "Guinness" made sense, I guess.

My daughter's birth plan had two things on it:
1) Bring the baby directly to the mother after the birth.
2) Do not let the father name the child without the mother present.

Day 13: A song you’ve seen performed live:

I was in the crowd for this show. There were only 50 of us. It was an incredibly intimate time. The acoustics were insane and we all hung out for a few hours together, drank beer, ate food and had a wonderful time.

Pro tip: make friends with people in radio. You get invited to cool shit 😎

The Cave - Mumford and Sons
