Same for me. Many shows that people say "oh you have to see it" I probably haven't watched. Especially in these areas. West Wing, Succession... haven't watched those either.

I found the Wire to be both better television and more sad. The problems in the Wire are systematic, top to bottom. Breaking Bad, you can safely hate Walt and you are good. It was a revelation in watching Breaking Bad when you realize Skyler is reasonable and not a wet blanket.

Does anyone who’s under the age of 60 and doesn’t really identify with Bradley Whitford in Get Out tell you to watch The West Wing? It’s very well written and performed but it’s neo-liberal sensibilities do not age particularly well and I suspect may annoy you more than entertain you.

Succession is better. I personally don’t like watching shows where I just really want every character to die screaming, but I understand the appeal.

My current series is Ghosts though, after having my heart ripped out when big bang theory went off air...
