They are often overlooked, but I always loved Toad the Wet Sprocket. I really like that period of time, late 80's to early 90s before grunge took over. This sound, sort of a alternative-folk-rock, holds up emotionally for me still. Toad, Til Tuesday's second album, The Hooters, Dream So Real.

Muriel Smith, the uncredited ghost singer for this song, is just an amazing talent. Black, she ended up ghost singing on several Hollywood movies, but she shined on the stage. She was Carmen Jones, no matter who played it after her. Great choice.Day 8: Bali Hai
