Someone I tried to be a friend to said something to me today that stung a little. It wasn’t funny, it wasn’t supportive, it wasn’t that honest thing I needed to hear… if anything, it was humiliating and mean spirited. She didn’t apologize either then or later.

This is just the lastest in a series of things that showed me I was a fool for trying so hard and making sacrifices to be her friend. So, time to lick my wounds and move on. I’ll be fine.
