Day 26: A song that motivates you
Anyone in the mood for some Swedish rock?
Kent was probably the biggest Swedish band since ABBA, at least here, and they did their thing for 26 years before saying "nope, we're done, we quit" during an absolute peak of their career.
This was due to frontman Jocke Berg, lead singer and main songwriter, saying he needed to step away from celebrity life. He hated being known. It was crushing him.
He made it 26 years, pushing through something he hated, just to do something he loved.
His music helped me through some really dark times, too. Thanks for all the good times, Jocke.

I guess that I'm also not exactly sure what does or doesn't qualify as a children's song... but between some of the lyrics, the album cover, and the fact that the whimsy and imagination of this artist's records were played for me as a young child... I would say that the evidence of it belonging here is starting to stack up convincingly enough...
